As the founder of HelloVR, an immersive content studio, he has been instrumental in creating experiences that connect people in powerful new ways. In 2015, Dedric made history by bringing IBM’s premier AI platform, Watson, into MetaWorld as a social AI avatar—a world first. His greatest passion lies in crafting socially aware AI entities that enhance human experiences, blurring the lines between the physical and digital realms.
Before founding HelloVR, Dedric served as Head of Design at AltspaceVR, the world’s first social VR communication platform. There, he established foundational technology and design paradigms for avatars, environments, and user interaction, setting industry standards that continue to influence VR content systems today.
Prior to AltspaceVR, Dedric led product innovation teams at Microsoft and Comcast, driving advancements in user experience and technology.
